Your laundry is KILLING you... and here's how to change that!
My friend, I couldn’t go another day without telling you this… Dryer Sheets and toxic laundry detergents are killing you!
Slowly but surely, these chemical-laden products are affecting your health in a multitude of ways, increasing your risks of:
🔺Respiratory illnesses
🔺Cancer
🔺Endocrine/reproductive disorders
🔺Nerve damage
🔺Extreme environmental risks
& more
There are better ways to get softer and beautiful-smelling laundry!
I’ve got a few options that’ll be WAY better for your laundry:
My Laundry Soap Nuts are such a fun treat: they’re 100% zero-waste, organic, and will cost you basically nothing per load (11 cents a load! What more can you ask for?!)
I’ve also got a few other laundry detergents, always organic and zero-waste. Check them out below :)
My Lavender Dryer Sachets are reusable, and free of all toxic chemicals and synthetic fragrances! Each one will last approximately 35 loads and can be used afterward as a drawer sachet or composted.
The Wool Laundry balls are a really great LONG term option: all I do is put a few drops of essential oils and then drop them in the dryer. It’ll smell so good! Make sure you don’t buy your average essential oil from Walmart though - I listed one above but you can also get Doterra and Young Living from your fave MLM gal :)
Check out this shortlist of some popular cleaning ingredients for stain fighting & their known health concerns:
-
Bleach - serious skin & lung damaging concerns
-
Synthetic Fragrance - AKA the new second hand smoke
-
Phthalates – asthma, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, breast cancer, behavioral issues, autism spectrum disorders, and more
-
Acetaldehyde – cancer and reproductive toxicity.
-
Dibutyl Hydroxy Toluene - linked with neurotoxicity, hormone disruption, allergies, and irritation to the skin, eyes, or lungs.
-
Ethyl Acetate – brain and nervous system toxicity.
That’s why I love my Stain Stick! It truly will last you a LONG time, and works really beautifully!
Remember, as you try to use more safe products in your home, the most important thing is to avoid being stressed out. Stress will hurt you more than most other things :)
