If you're using these products daily, stop. - OrganicDarlings
Have you seen these articles popping up all over the internet this week? I certainly have. If you're not familiar yet, a study was released that showed just how toxic Phthalates are to our health. The study showed that this chemical was linked to premature deaths (100,000 Americans a year).

I'm angry about this for a couple reasons:

1. Busy people shouldn't have to research each and every product/ingredient in their home to figure out whether or not it's trying to kill them
2. Us "crunchy" people have been saying this for years and most people refused to listen.
Sadly, we live in a world where even the government agencies that are supposed to protect us are incredibly corrupt and easily swayed through money and power (I'd encourage you to listen to this podcast about the FDA. WILD!)
Today you HAVE to be your own advocate. You have to research the ingredients in your food, your skincare, your makeup, your deodorant, your water (if fluoride is something that you're interested in I'll write about it soon!).
Do you remember a few years ago when Claire's had to pull some makeup off the shelves because of asbestos? You know, the chemical that when inhaled can cause lung cancer?!
Or when Johnson & Johnson had to pay huge a fine for their baby powder that was also linked with ovarian cancer?

Why am I telling you all of this?

Because we don't need to wait for the media to tell us that a product or ingredient was toxic until it's too late.
We know which ones are toxic!

Here is a list of ingredients we 100% avoid. I'd encourage you to run through the products in your home and figure out which ones have these in them. You can also use the EWG but know that even they can be too flexible in my eyes about safety.

An easy trick is this one: if the product you want to try has the word "fragrance" in it, that's a major red flag - especially if they don't explain exactly what those fragrances are. An exception would be if they say that the fragrances are organic essential oils for example. Did you know that the word "fragrance" can hide around 3000 ingredients?

Wild times. Stay smart my friends - the world is trying to kill us but they have no idea just how stubborn we are.
